Today was a great day in the final steps of the adoption process for the twins!!! Around lunchtime, we got our medical waivers for them…
Actually, the agency called me (and almost gave me a heart attack because it could have been a travel call but not likely but still a small chance) to talk to me about some specifics regarding this step in the process.
They haven’t really had the twins thing happen in this specific program. Our contact at the agency said she had emailed the contact in Korea about the best way to do the waiver form. It was late-night in Korea so we wouldn’t hear back until tomorrow putting us another day behind with waiting. I asked her if she just might send the waivers to me both ways(with the twins waiver covered on one form and then separate too) so we could go ahead and have them overnighted back today and all bases would be covered since we did it both ways. She said she was just worried about us having to pay for a notary for each sheet…lucky for me, I work with one!! So she went ahead and sent the form 3 ways. I had them at FedEx at 4:45pm and they should arrive at our agency in Oregon by 10:30am next day. They will forward to Korea same day!!
As you can see, we also got new pictures along with their Check-Ups for October. Today was full of blessings.
I sent this email to our case worker after getting the pictures a few hours after Class B Waivers,
“seriously!!?? Could this day get any better?! Only if we were holding them!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Especially that Sophie is wearing an outfit we sent and Greer is sporting the plaid cowboy shirt with striped pants! :) Our kids are adorable!”
As I’ve watched the last two families in the process with the same scenarios that we have in place…they have gotten the official “Come to Korea” call within 2 weeks of getting the waivers we got today!! As I am looking at the insane prices of plane tickets!! The best price I can find is leaving on 11/20 and returning 11/25. Praying the prices can stay steady for the next few weeks.
Just think….I could be behind the camera turning cartwheels attempting to get these two to smile in just a few weeks….certainly hard to believe! WE.ARE.BLESSED!
