The boys were crashing and LeeAnn and I had big plans still. So it was a compromise. We would eat close by and then LeeAnn and I would venture out on our own to EMart. I feel so comfortable in this city. I could totally see myself taking a cab all on my own should I need to, but I am so glad LeeAnn was willing and I didn't need to. I must say, it was a yummy compromise :) Brandon and I split the Gorgonzola cheese pizza!! Gary got orange chicken and LeeAnn had shrimp fried rice.
Before we went to dinner, I asked the lady working at the front desk to write down directions to DMCville for us. Very handy to have.
We pretty much stop at the front desk each time before we leave which MaryLeigh said they did too. They also give you an DMCville card with info for cab drivers to bring you back too!
We made sure we were prepared to Skype on our Iphones should we need to get in touch before parting ways.
We were totally unprepared for what happened on the tour earlier, but it scared us enough to realize we better get with it on having a back-up plan :)
Here we are on our way...
and then we arrived...
Emart is Koreas version of SuperTarget. The bottom floor is full of groceries (wayyyyy bigger than what you see below)
and then GET THIS!!! you take an escalator WITH your buggy up to the top floor for the things in the "other than food" category! I know, Im easily amused!
It was pretty awesome. Although, it was packed and everyone seemed to be in a hurry and not afraid to get to what they needed. I seriously didn't know if I was going to make it off the dairy aisle :)
There is a person working on EVERY aisle! This is some of what is upstairs...GREAT baby/kid section! But there were clothes, kitchen items, decorations, bedding, ....pretty much anything you'd need...all in one location. LOVE it and will probably be back!
Oh and I knew the jackpot on Peroro was near. I wouldn't even bother looking anywhere else after seeing the selection at Emart. There were more things on multiple aisles..mixed in with toys and such!
As tempted as I was to go crazy...that would not be affordable :) So, I got a few of what other adoptive mama's have said their little ones have loved...
The microphone is for Greer :) and the phone for Sophie. The Peroro to the far right is a wind up and swim bath toy. I got some training chopsticks :) We made it back to the room safe and sound. I was sleepy. I went to bed around 10pm. I was trying to stay up and Skype with Harrison but it didn't work out. I woke up at 2am to check in and found a message from my mom. Harrison seemed to be upset some yesterday afternoon. Crying for me :( but seems to be ok if he is buys. After waking up at 2am, I haven't been back to sleep. I decided to go ahead and get up around 6am. We threw some clothes in the wash...
I found some pictures of Harrison on Facebook :) with his cousin Ada at breakfast...
and then out to lunch with Mrs.Pam and "the boys!"
I am waiting to Skype with my kids from church. They are singing in a musical tonight and we are going to watch it and talk to them beforehand! :) LOVE technology!
Namdaemun and lunch before we come head to Holt to head to the foster families house! So excited!
