We got word this morning that the twins have their Visa Physicals scheduled for October 6th. This is amazing and cuh-razy all at the same time. The visa physical normally comes after the EP (emigration permit) submission AND EP Approval are complete. We have not been submitted for EP yet.
Our agency has a new hospital that they are working with for visa physicals and apparently, they will do it this way. This will save some time after we get our EP approval, but everything still hinges on when we get submitted for an EP. Until that happens, travel is not even an option.
The visa physical is done by an outside Doctor appointed by the US Embassy to clear the twins health wise for travel/entry to the U.S. Having this in place ahead of time really is great! Our agency said that they got this info from Holt in Korea. They said it is safe to assume we will get an EP this year. We and Holt USA aren’t in the know when it comes to when the next EP batch will be submitted…we can only pray it is soon.
God’s got this!
Just yesterday during Harrison’s nap, I went to scripture as I was hoping to ease my mind as I thought about and prayed for the twins. I found this…
These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There's far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can't see now will last forever. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18
The news of Visa Physical with the idea that we will get an EP even with the backlog, is thrilling and hard at the same time. We are thrilled that we will be blessed to bring our babies home soon, but we don’t take the blessing lightly. We are still so sad for many families caught up in the EP backlog. We are humbled and in awe of all that God has done and continues to do in and through our family.
