Mothers Day 2011

Today, my heart sings with JOY! I am so very blessed to have been made a mommy by this sweet boy!

And it’s only been a little over a week since I was made a mommy of 3 by these two beautiful additions…

and I am blessed that this I.N.C.R.E.D.I.B.L.E man shares a heart for adoption with me. We are thrilled to be following the Lord’s leading as to how we are growing our family! We have CERTAINLY been abundantly blessed in doing so!

We have had a fun filled weekend. Yesterday, Brandon worked a 1/2 day, my dad spent a few hours with Harrison, and I took my mom out for Mother’s Day. She deserved it! We did pedis, lunch, and a movie! It was a treat for me to do so too!

My mom has given so much of herself over the last few years. It was not long ago that she begged and prayed for ONE grandbaby…well, by the end of this year, she should have 6 under 3!

We liked the same color Smile
Today after church, we spent time with Brandon’s side of the family. We went to a cookout/swim party. Everyone had a great time…especially the kiddos!

One of Brandon’s gifts to me, was not making me get into a bathing suit! He was the ONLY Dad in the water with the kids! (reason 1001 I LOVE and APPRECIATE my man)

As you can tell, Harrison enjoyed his presence!

Since we are around water and pools so often in the summer, Harrison will take 2 weeks of swim lessons at the end of this month!

My prayer is that you had a special day too. In addition to celebrating my blessed role as a mother, I did stop often to remember and pray for those who are still yearning for the Lord to bless them with children by birth and/or adoption. I also reflect on two other special mothers who made very selfless decisions in choosing life for our babies. We will forever be grateful for the joy and love our family has gained through their very painful losses.

The Lord has done great things for us and we are filled with JOY! Psalm 126:3
