Everything is better with company!!

or something like that!! Our niece and nephew spent the night with us last night. They came over yesterday around lunchtime and left tonight after dinner time! We had a lot jammed into our time together. We put a special sign on the door to greet them!!
Not too long after they got here we headed out to meet friends at the kids museum.

We had plenty of fun there and then headed back home for dinner and a movie. The kids played a $1 game I got them at the Dollar store while the dinner heated up...

Then it was dinner time and we all crammed in around the table and enjoyed our baked spaghetti...
Then it was movie and popcorn time!!
They didn't stay like this for too terribly long but it was a fun time nonetheless!! Harrison was very into what was being consumed...we were careful and gave him itty bitty pieces and with that, he was well pleased!

After church today they all crashed together and it didn't take long...and my motto in that moment was "Oh nap time, how I Love Thee" Colton required much attention and "follow through" on Saturday. It has been a while since he has spent that much time with us "in charge" of him so we are pretty sure he was testing the waters. Brandon and I are a team and we are consistent with how we deal with little ones. We love to have FUN and we love all kids but we also expect respect and obedience...just as we would hope that someone would require of Harrison. Saturday was a day FULL of working with Colton on that. It was a little exhausting. Today he was an ANGEL and we just kept affirming his efforts and encouraging him to continue to make GOOD choices!! Tonight at our churches variety show he was sitting in my lap and he turned around and asked "Am I being a good boy?" I assured him that he was and just thought it was so sweet that he had to have made the decision to TRY to be a good boy and he was wanting to know if his decision yielded results!! Gotta love kids!
