Weekend Winter Wonderland

Oh my my! We had THE BEST weekend! Last week, there was a forecast for a Winter Storm this weekend. The past few times this has happened, we've gotten NOTHING!! We did not get our hopes up. Harrison and I went ahead and went into the office Friday morning(I had my day off Monday of last week for Harrison's doctors appointment). Brandon went to work.

The winter weather began to come down hard and fast around 10:30am. Brandon works west of our town and got more of it earlier so he was already heading back home at 9:30am to avoid getting stuck in traffic by waiting to leave later. Harrison and I headed home too. So, it was so much fun to have the surprise day together as a family. Harrison was kind of grumpy and really sleepy so he spent a good bit of the day napping. That was fine with Daddy and me. We borrowed the 1st season of G-L-E-E from friends and we really really liked it and managed to finish it between Thursday and Friday night!! Saturday and Sunday was spent with friends enjoying the beautiful wonderland the good Lord blessed us with this weekend.

Harrison didn't really think much of it. It was too cold for us to keep him out long. Today it was a little warmer so he did stay out for about 30 minutes. Once I took him back inside he had the biggest happy screaming/babbling/giggling fit ever so I think he was telling me how great he thought it all was!!

Our handsome sweety bundled up and ready for some fun! (he fell asleep on the way to his best buddies house on Saturday and slept through most of the fun)Brandon scoping out the yard with the boys! We spent a good bit of time just playing in their big yard!! It was snowing lightly and that just added to the fun!

Little brother was ready for whatever came his way!! He LOVED every minute of being outside and being right in the middle of everything!

Today we headed out to our friends family farm to really enjoy the beauty of the wonderland and to find better unoccupied hills to sled on!!

Our 1st family photo in the snow!
Harrison with his buddies!!
We headed home later this afternoon and have been trying to get some things done around the house. Can't say I feel too successful, but I have gotten a good START on some laundry and we semi-cleaned out the car!!!

Hey, I normally don't get on people's actual blogs but just the quick version. So when i did this morning and saw Harrison's a.d.o.r.a.b.l.e picture on the top i just smiled. He is soooo stinkin precious. So glad y'all got to experience some of the beautiful snow.

Question: you might think i'm crazy but i LOVE the barn picture with small truck and snow!!! Since i teach art we have a huge Rodeo state wide where our students have to draw from pictures. We submit them and if they win they go for auction at this rodeo. Would you mind if I had a copy of your picture for next year?
