Every good and perfect gift is from above!!!

James 1:17

A P.E.R.F.E.C.T gift!! That is how I would describe today! We could not have dreamed of a better experience than the one we had today for Harrison's Gotcha Day!!! Turns out Harrison the Great, well, he's pretty GREAT!!!

Our 52 minute flight felt like we ascended and immediately descended!! We were pretty excited at that point. Can you tell?...

Our perfect beginning... Today's perfect ending... And if both of them only knew...this is just the beginning of something wonderful ;o)

Now...for the in between:

Harrison with his wonderful caretakers! Harrison smiles a lot but he also turns it off QUICKLY for the camera..this is something we'll be working on :o)

He certainly knew something was going on but just gave us both a really good once over...or 2 or 3!! It did not take long for him to warm up. They mentioned that Harrison had not been around many men in order to prepare Brandon for the possibility of a not so great reaction. Brandon is the one who pulls the smiles out of him for the camera the few times we managed it! We think this is probably going to be a non-issue..I don't know why don't you be the judge...

Harrison's first ride in the Ergo with us was on the way back to the hotel! He did GREAT! Just layed his little head on my chest unless he saw something appealing then, he'd peak back up and then lay down again. Very sweet! We got back and let him check out the new duds! a.k.a roll all over the bed and even almost crawling!! He loves loves loves to be held so he can bounce his legs!!

Bath time!

PJ's and Aunty Hannah's prized contribution to the baby loot! (Harrison LOVES this thing!)

Tired and Hungry!! This was the only time we heard anything even close to a cry. We gave him the bottle the nanny sent with us to the hotel and it was too cold (it took us about 120 seconds to figure this out...119 too long!)
Then Harrison displayed some pretty fine tuned steam rolling skills. He rolled all around the bed, got up on all fours, rocked back and forth, and even put his head down and booty up with legs locked (I CAN'T wait to get this on video...we were laughing hysterically!!) All of this eventually landed him right where he belongs...

Tomorrow we will be attending the church Harrison has gone to each Sunday and possibly meeting his birth mother. Thank you for your love and prayers! We feel them all the way on the other side of the world!

I have read your blog for a while, but haven't commented in a while. I just had to today! I sobbed happy tears reading this post. I don't even know you but I can't be happier for you. Harrison is so lucky to have you as his mother. Good luck with everything and being a mother is the best thing in the world, but you already know that!

I am so excited for you guys! You are going to be laughing hysterically all the time now at every thing he does. Those vibrating teethers are the BEST. Every baby needs one. Brady did the rocking and standing on his head thing, too. Harrison will be crawling before you know it. Enjoy every second with that sweet boy!!!
