Jim & Adrienne are accepting the referral of a little girl from Korea. She is 1/2 month older than Harrison. Oh my goodness...what great friends they'll be!!
Hannah and Clay are adopting domestically and are turning in their profile TODAY! We worked hard on wrapping it up last night. It wasn't too long ago that Hannah was helping me do something very similar.
Hannah and Clay are only open to African American or bi-racial babies because of the great need for this here in the U.S. Their adoption will probably move very quickly so this will be another buddy for out little guy that will be close in age. Since we live right behind each other...this will be quite fun!
It is so nice to have a community of people that have the same calling on their lives as us. We have an understanding of what one another goes through like NO ONE else. We can giggle at the questions people ask and the comments people have because we all get almost the same ones. Soon, we'll all get the same looks too. Each of our children will look very different from us or our spouses. Most of the time, this is a great opportunity for us to spread the word about adoption. Sometimes...that's not peoples intentions when they look or ask, but that's ok too.
I am just so thrilled that Harrison is going to have a multi-cultural circle of friends. Friends that he can share the history of adoption with!
Tonight, Brandon and I will head to Jim and Adrienne's for their gold party fundraiser. We didn't have gold because we had our gold party but we are taking food to share with all of the guests and we'll be there for moral support :o)

Have a GREAT weekend! How special that you have a circle of friends that you can share this awesome, Godly experience with!
Thanks for sharing your story with all of the world! It is such an inspiration to all of us!
HI April,
I have frequented your blog for the last month and thought it was time to say, 'hi.'
My husband and I are praying about adoption. I feel more of a peace to start the process, but hubby does not have the peace yet, so we continue to wait on God's clear leading.
I have very much enjoyed learning about Taiwan and have such a heart for Asia. We also are considering domestic as well.
I would love any info. advice you can offer. I would also love to know about your agency as well.
If you want to contact me, please comment on my Hannah's Song blog.
Thanks and many blessings to your family.
Have a great weekend April. I am so glad Harrison will have some good buddies to play with.
Praying for you & brandon & harrison.. can't wait to see you guys bring him home.. since we live in the same city we need to get together sometime for coffee or something.. If you got time anyways.. Send Adrienne & Jim my love.. Wish I could be at their gold party tonight!
Happy Friday!
Love hearing about Harrison and how God is bringing him home! We have been put on the active list and are waiting to see how God brings our own little Annie home after laying it on our hearts 22 years ago!
I just love hearing about Harrison! It makes our own "waiting" period bearable to hear that God is in the process of bringing Harrison home. I know when God puts adoption on your heart it NEVER goes away whether you act on it on not. 22 years ago God laid it on our hearts and nurtured us along. As of a month ago we have been put on the ACTIVE list to have our profiles presented. We look forward to seeing how God brings our "Annnie" home too!
