SHE recommended this one...

So, let's just say that hypothetically...we were going to "do this thing!" Brandon and I were talking over dinner tonight about fundraising. Brandon and I are kind of leaning towards trying figure out a way to pay for everything until we get a referral. We are so worried about doing what happened last time...car wash..t-shirt sales etc. and something going wrong again. We pretty much lost all of our money with the Vietnam adoption attempt and we felt so bad about what everyone had given towards it. No one has ever said a word, but you know...
Anywho...only problem is I had our "potential" agency shoot us an email over with a fee schedule (of when and what would be due) and I noticed about 7500 is due in the 1st 90 days...I know from our experience with the Vietnam adoption...it comes, but 7500 in 90 days...hmmm that makes me nervous until I remember this...

I bought two of the Vietnam shirts and still adore them!!! Trust in God, don't worry about the funds, and move forward where His heart leads. It is not your fault (or anyones) that the program shut down...you were doing what you needed to do and NO ONE feels bad for helping fund the adoption!!!!!!!
on a side note... please let me know how the Bottomly's book is... i've been following their blog since they were picking Silas up.... I hear the book is AMAZING!!!
You will LOVE "There is no me without you". Sadly, Haregewoin Teferra died...just a few days ago. She was such an amazing woman.

Wow, that is a lot so soon, and I do know what you mean about people giving money and then an adoption falling through (we lost $5000 in November), but I also know you are exactly right. Faith IS being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1
:) So excited!
theres no me without you is the best book i have ever read...hands down. tough, but good.
i promise i will get back to your e-mail. we have been out of town.
April, you and Brandon are such faithful servants. We stand behind you in all you do and lift you up in prayer to have the wisdom of God in these days. It might be a lot of money to us, but to God it's a drop in the bucket.
I am sure whatever you decide will be fine. God will provide. Just wanted to let you know about Korea though. It is a wonderful program. Please feel free to check out my blog and see our baby boy!
Best of luck,
Carra
April, I read your blog from time to time. We were also in line for Vietnam. Now we are adopting from Korea as we really wanted something STABLE after Vietnam - it is a breeze compared to many others (so I just wanted to second what Carra said). Ethiopia is wonderful as well (we considered it, but ultimately decided on Korea because it is less popular and thus I think a little more of a "sure bet"). BEST of luck deciding! I am so glad to see that adoption is still in your heart after everything!
I am sure that those who helped with the funding the first time around, will glady help again :)!
You are doing what is best for your family and that is all that matters!!!
I second what Melissa Ell said, we will stand behind you, in prayer, funds whatever you need! God will do the rest! Be faithful sweet ones!
