We live in a town that's name ends with boro. So, when I was praying about a name for our children's ministry....it came to me in the car on the way to work ...Kidzboro! So that's it. We're taking the theme to heart in our children's wing through and through! We're taking rooms like this...
and turning them into places in the city like this...
These are just the paint jobs...more is to be added..one is the Pizzeria and the other a game room/arcade! Guess which one is which :o) Pizzeria is to be used for Missions (get it...serving?) and the Game Room is to play games in while reviewing or learning what kids learn at church :)
It's only possible because of wonderful groups of people like this...
Oh what a job it has been! Every day though, we make progress. The goal is to have all of the finishing touches on by Easter. At the rate we're going..it's not going to be a problem! The pictures above only show 2 rooms. We're doing 12 and the LONG hallway! Does your church have a themed children's wing or a colorful one?
P.S.
I made these tonight for our children's wing workday tomorrow! I tryed to get some yummy goodies for all of the workers! It's kind of like a hospitality table!

I just finished doing the same exact thing you are doing! I am a Children's Minister working on repainting/updating our Children's Areas as well!
It looks great! And I love the theme! I've said it before...you were made for this position!
Hey....I know them!
I've been reading your blog for quite some time and also bought a pair of your cute flip flops on Etsy.
Anyway, how neat it was to click on your site this morning and see someone I know. My family and I went to church with Chuck & Teresa Sellers for MANY, MANY years. What an awesome family!!!!
Your children's area is looking awesome!!! You seem to be having a great time with your new job. What a blessing for you and for the children!
It is looking so awesome!!! The kids will LOVE it SO much!!! It is a ton of fun doing it too!!! Wished I had been there today to get some of those good eats! :)
It looks amazing!!!
Way to go on hiring someone to help clean your house. We have done that for quite some time and it is worth the sacrifice in other areas!!!!! I feel that it allows me to spend more time giving quality time to my husband and kids; I can use my gifts to serve others more, too. AND it supports the economy!! :)
I love themes. Your church looks great. You have so many good ideas. And I love that you love kids. It really shows.
Looks awesome:)
I left a surprise for you on my blog;)
The rooms and themes are GREAT!!! Hey, how far does the lady who cleans travel?!? lol I need her desperately.
