This is my 100th post on this blog. Since 100 is SUCH a large number, I am going to break up some things into 25's. So that is 4 groups of 25. Some of you commented that you would like to see what Brandon was referring to and this has some of that in it but, not all of it. So here is the thing... Brandon and I are debating (not each other - just the idea) whether or not to make a move closer to work in Nashville. We spend up to 12.5-15 hours in the car each week. So I am going to show you, in groups of 25, what this debate looks like in our heads.
25 reasons we are hesitant
1. I prayed for a close friend and I got one, Hannah. She live in Murfreesboro.
2. Clay and Hannah are a 1 min. from our door.

5. We will be leaving a great group of people at church that we literally "do life" with.
6. Will we find people like that ever again?

8. ALL the stuff that has to be done to get our house ready to sale.
9. ALL the money we will need to do that stuff.

So, seriously, this message is to encourage our readers to help us out with this transition. It is definitely not going to be easy. But if anyone knows of anyone looking to BUY or RENT in our area (preferably buy) then please let us know. Like everything else we do and have done, we want to share this experience with you. We are confident that God has a plan and if that includes us moving then we are going to follow… somehow. Feel free to link us to your blog and make comments and post about it. We will have additional info coming. I have a real estate license and will be able to help buyers purchase our house below market rates. So we are looking for a win for us and a win for the next owners of our home. We are extremely serious about doing this quickly. In advance we appreciate all the support.
Oh good luck, having recently made a move (granted in jobs not in homes) almost exclusively for the reduced drive time, I cannot tell you how much that is worth it! There are always pros and cons to everything, sometimes following what God wants is hard as well even when you know that is what he wants. I hope that you are able to do what feels/is right and good luck! Congrats on the 100th post by the way!
uhmmm... didn't we all agree that we'd all stay in the boro forever and ever??
we have thought of moving to manchester to be closer to James' work. That would save him almost 8 hours a week in driving. The cost of housing is way cheaper and we have enough equity in our home to pay off our stupid, stupid, stupid car loan and still have a nice down payment.
Alas... it really just comes down to us not wanting to live in Manchester and almost all the reasons you've listed.
It's such a blessing to have found friends like we all have - but remember that we'll all always be friends. We don't have a 25 mile radius cut-off.
I'll pray that God will make it known what you guys should do!
im not happy.....
im just throwing that out there...
Ok I was going to write something but it seems like Brandon's comment stems from a "decision". So are you going to move now?
CARRIE
Fun list - that sounds like a toss up to me. Hard decision to make but hopefully you will make the right one!
I love how you say that you will invest in the lives of her peers! My mom was one of those mommies and it was awesome! I can't do much in terms of your decision to move, except for pray and I will do that.
all of the reasons you are hesitant are very valid reasons. it is not easy to find great friends (especially next door) and it is extremely hard to find the perfect chuch.
but, your reason for wanting to be closer to work is HUGE. when you are a stay-at-home mom, you are staring at the clock and counting down the minutes until you get some relief (aka hubby takes over)!! the time with daddy each night is just too precious to the girls...and i would want them to have as much time as possible together.
you have a tough decision ahead of you. just keep praying and God will give you a peace about your decision :)
hey apes!!
i figured it was you...i just wanted to be sure :) thanks for getting back to me on that! i didn't think that too many people knew i had fam in TN!
It will all work out! I can totally understand the driving time issue. Now is a good time before Marlee arrives...less stuff to have to pack now ;)
Move to Providence in Mount Juliet! We'll be your friends ;)
I love your list to Marlee, and I completely second what Angie said!!!!
