This is the actual email correspondence I had with our social worker at the agency today (Note..when I am nervous/embarrassed I try to make light of a situation):
Originating email from me to social worker and country rep:
Hey ladies! Long time no email huh? Well I wanted to ask a question.
Let's just say that I have a friend who got their home study and then had it on their desk as they were inquiring about the Shaohannah's hope grant online. She accidentally spilled her coffee on her desk and it got on the corner of the back page of the home study. She may have gotten a little on the other pages too. The notarized page at that!?? What is my friend to do?
Response from agency:
No problem. I will send "your friend" a new one! :)
Wow, that is it?? I thought we were going to have to pay a fee or something to get a new one!! I was so relieved. I tried to get Brandon to tell him that he did it but, he really did not want to. I took me a couple of weeks to work up the nerve to tell them! All that worrying for such an easy fix. One day I will learn to stop all of this worrying. At least, I hope I will.

too funny! glad it was an easy fix...you never know with this adoption stuff :)
I've had similar correspondences with my SW. Not exactly spilling coffee, but that sort of thing that you are just terribly nervous to discuss. Remember, they are working for us!
You're funny! I too had a similiar incident with my homestudy...it was placed on a wet counter! Glad it worked out for you! My social worker finally called and I'm so excited to get things started. We should have all our appointments in one week!
Funny. Now we are done with our adoption, I think I am going to mat and frame our paperwork.... ;)

You are too funny! Thanks for giving me something to smile about! I too... worry too much - that might be why I haven't gotten my paperwork into CHI - because I'm so worried about the 'right' moment of God's choosing that it just keeps me from that leap of faith that I need to take! I hope you are having a wonderful evening :) - MandyJo
Cute story. Sounds just like me. I would work myself up for something that would end up being nothing! :)Glad it was such an easy fix!
